One Stop Shop

One Stop Shop is the holiday store where our Brightmoor neighbors can shop for free clothing, personal care items, toys, appliances, gifts for family and friends, and groceries as well as enjoy a hot meal after shopping.  For 15 years, the One Stop Shop has been held on the first Saturday of December.

Each year hundreds of families shop at the One Stop Shop. Last year, the store served 830 people, including 483 children. Each family works with a volunteer who serves as a personal shopper to help adults find just the right items for their family’s needs, while their children enjoy fun activities in another part of the church.

How you can help!

  1. Volunteer your time.
  2. Donate some of the items we offer in the store:
    • New winter coats & boots for children through age 18
    • New small appliances (e.g., toaster ovens, George Foreman grills, crock pots)
    • New or gently used toys and stuffed animals for children from newborns through age 18
    • Toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bars of soap
    • Cans and boxes of non-perishable food (no glass)
  3. Make a financial donation to purchase items for the store.
